Anthony Maranville is a writer with screen credits that include Star Trek: Discovery, Monk, and Brainchild (produced by Pharrell Williams). He currently co-writes the fantasy graphic novel series Pandora with comic book legend Frank Miller, and co-authored the YA novel Hide or Seek with former DC Comics co-publisher, Dan DiDio (featured on Read with Jenna), and is the playwright behind the acclaimed play Drinking with Grandma.

Despite the fancy credits, it took him ten years to finish a simple story he promised his daughter about a catfish in a Santa hat. Carl the Catfish and the Wisdom of the Santa Hat is a whimsical celebration of holiday storytelling—a book about broken promises, perfectionism, and leading with kindness.
